Kari Sharp, RDN is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a mission to help children and their families achieve a healthful and nutritious lifestyle. Raising children with various GI conditions, picky eating issues, weight concerns, and autism, Kari has not only studied nutrition but lived it. With a degree in nutrition, she aims to explore the best options for each and every individual she councils. Kari holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Food Systems and has a background in culinary arts, nutrition program coordination, nutrition education, and as a health and wellness activist. As Program Coordinator for Kitchen Kid, a culinary school for children, Kari planned, implemented, and taught menus for cooking classes, private events, summer camps, and workshops all while considering food allergies, clients with Celiac disease, Kosher homes, and more. Two schools within the Redondo Beach Unified School District achieved National Recognition Awards from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation and the Let’s Move! Active Schools Award under Kari’s leadership as an activist. Her extensive background also includes enriching elementary school classrooms with up-to-date, evidenced-based nutritional knowledge while serving as a docent for the Beach Cities Health District’s LiveWell Nutrition program.
